Who Was Her Ex-husband?
Born Herve Jean-Pierre Villachaize in April 1943, he was a French actor and painter. Sadly, he passed away in September 1993.
Herve was famous as the evil henchman Nick Nack in the 1974 James Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gone. He also portrayed Mr. Roarke’s assistant, Tattoo, on the American television series Fantasy Island. His shout “The Plane! The Plane!” Became a signature phrase of Fantasy Island.
Villechaize was born in Nazi-occupied Paris to English-born parents. His father was a surgeon in Toulon. Herve was the youngest of four sons, and one born with dwarfism.
The likely reason for his dwarfism was an endocrine disorder, which his surgeon father tried unsuccessfully to cure in several institutions.
When he was in his later years, Herve insisted on being called a midget, not a dwarf. He was bullied during his school days for his condition and found solace in painting.
When he was 16 years of age, Herve entered the Ecole des Beaux-Arts to study art, and in 1961, he became the youngest artist to have his work displayed in the Museum of Paris. He was 18 at the time. Three years later, he left France for the United States of America and settled in a Bohemian section of New York City. Fun fact: Herve learned English by watching television.
Initially working as an artist and painter, he began acting in Off-Broadway productions. In 1966, he made his film debut in Chappaqua. In his early days, he appeared in The Gang That Couldn’t Shoot Straight, Malatesta’s Carnival of Blood, Crazy Joe, Seizure, and more.
The big break came when he appeared in the James Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun. At the time, he was so poor, he was living in his car in Los Angeles. He was even working as a rat catcher’s assistant to make ends meet.
During the 1970s and 1980s, Herve Villechaize became an active member of the movement in California dealing with child abuse and neglect. He would often go to crime scenes to help comfort abuse victims.
His final appearance was a cameo as himself in an episode of the Ben Stiller show.
Early Life And Bio Of Anne
Now let’s talk about Herve’s ex-wife Anne Sadowski. She is a mysterious character and has not provided much information to the media.
She rose to prominence after getting married to Herve as a celebrity spouse. We do know she was born in the United States of America. But the former celebrity wife is secretive about her personal life, early life, educational background, and professional career.
We assume that in 2022, she is in her early 70s. But she hasn’t revealed her birth date, or the names of her parents, siblings, and friends.
She holds an American nationality and is of White ethnicity. The young and gorgeous woman had a slim body figure and was relatively tall when she dated Herve.
Marriage To Herve
The couple was a major hit during the 1970s. They exchanged marital commitments in front of their family and friends in a private ceremony.
Things were going well for some time. Yet, after 9 years of marriage, Anne filed for a divorce. Their marriage ended in 1979, but she remained tight-lipped about the reasons for their split.
Following her marriage and divorce from Herve, she remained single for quite some time. There is no information about another marriage or a relationship.
Unlike her, Herve re-married with Camille Hagen in 1980. He met his next wife on the set of Fantasy Island. But they did split in 1982 for personal reasons.
Herve’s Suicide
Herve’s suicide remains one of the mysteries of Hollywood. There were no known reasons for that act. On September 4, 1993, Herve Villechaize shot himself in his North Hollywood home. Before that, he attempted to rouse his long-term sweetheart Kathy Self through the glass sliding door.
His body was discovered on his patio. Declared dead in his North Hollywood office, Herve wrote a goodbye note in which he expressed his distress over long periods of medical issues.
Did They Have Any Children Together?
Herve and Anne Sadowski were married for nine years. They dated before that and remained friends until his death.
They had no children together. Of his many relationships and wives, Anne was the one that stayed by his side the longest.
Despite their troubles and divorce, they remained friends. But she managed to keep her privacy and secrecy from the media.
Herve’s Personal Life And Relationships
Here is a fun fact. During the filming of the James Bond movie, Sir Roger Moore called Herve a sex maniac. He said, “Herve was a very small man and he used to touch me and I used to say, Don’t touch me. I wasn’t being cruel about his size. It was just that he was a sex manic. He had a lust for ladies, unnatural”.
Herve was married two times in his life. Anne Sadowski was his first wife, and they were married for nine years. His second wife, Camille Hagen, was an actress and stand-in double. They were married for two years.
Over the course of his life, Herve had many Hollywood friends, including singer Johnny Lee. He lived on his San Fernando Valley ranch, where he provided a home for farm animals and pets.

Anne makes a decent amount of money from her career. But that is a mystery. She hasn’t specified her profession. You might think her husband was a famous actor. But the American actor had a net worth of only $100,000 at the time of his death.
