He left his first wife, Denise Lombardo, and got involved with model Nadine Caridi. The US Securities and Exchange Commission began to look into his shady stock operation in 1992.
In 1999, he pleaded guilty to securities fraud and money laundering. Jordan cooperated with authorities in an effort to shorten his prison sentence. In 2003, he was sentenced to four years in prison, and fined $110 million.
After 22 months in jail, he got out. During his time in prison, he befriended comedian Tommy Chong, who encouraged him to begin writing and write a book about his life. That is how his first memoir was born.
After he got out of prison, he published his first memoir, The Wolf of Wall Street, using one of his many nicknames as the title. The book talked about his meteoric rise and explosive crash in the financial world.
And then, he released the second memoir, Catching the Wolf of Wall Street, detailing his life after the arrest. The 2013 adaptation of the book stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Belfort.

Jordan and Nadine got married in 1993, and had two children together, Carter Belfort and Chandler Belfort. They separated in 2005. He then got married to Anne Koppe, but that marriage didn’t last long as well.
Invernizzi met Belfort in 2019, according to Page Six. At the time, they were living in Los Angeles, but shortly after, they moved to Miami, Florida.
