Everybody knows Bruce Springsteen, right? Born Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen in September 1949, he is an American singer and songwriter. In total, he has released 21 studio albums, most of them with his backup band, E Street Band.
He is originally from the Jersey Shore. Springsteen is the originator of heartland rock, a style that combines mainstream rock style with narrative songs about working-class American life. Nowadays, his son Sam Springsteen is part of the working-class American life.
He is nicknamed The Boss. Springsteen’s career has spanned more than six decades. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey, he is of Dutch, Irish, and Italian Descent. Bruce spent his childhood in Freehold, where he lived on South Street.

During Vietnam War, he was 19 but failed the physical examination. That is how he avoided service in the war. He suffered a concussion in a motorcycle accident when he was 17, making him unacceptable for service.
It wasn’t until 1973 that Springsteen began releasing music. He released his first two albums, Greetings from Asbury Park and The Wild, The Innocent & the E Street Shuffle. Neither of those albums helped him gain fame or recognition.
Then, he changed his style and reached worldwide popularity with his third album, Born to Run in 1975. He then followed it with highly successful albums like Darkness on the Edge of Town, The River, and Nebraska.
During his career, Bruce Springsteen has sold more than 140 million records worldwide, half of them in the United States. He has won the Grammy Award 20 times, the Golden Globe Award two times, and the Academy Award one time.

His mother is Patti Scialfa, born Vivienne Patricia Scialfa. She rose to fame after she joined the rock band E Road Band in 1984.
