Fitness modeling is one of the fastest-growing industries. At the same time, it is a highly competitive industry. Back in the 1980s and 1990s, you could get away with a few exercise videos and working out in front of your TV. Nowadays, female fitness models are much more than workout trainers. They are influential individuals, raising awareness about diet, exercise, and lifestyle.

Female fitness modeling is a new category of modeling. But these girls are just as in demand as fashion models. With a plethora of successful models, we take a look at top Instagram fitness models. These women managed to turn their passion for exercise into a lucrative career.

The Power of Social Media

Today, female fitness trainers have to be on Instagram. The social media platform is the go-to place for looking for inspiration, workout videos, and diet plans.

Instagram gives fitness models an easy and quick way to reach out to their followers. They can engage in discussions and talks with their followers.

Sometimes, this is as simple as sharing an image of a healthy breakfast. Nowadays, female fitness models link their breakfast to recipes. They can put a link to a video tutorial on how to perform a particular exercise. Or they can show before and after images, which are some of the most popular and powerful images.

As we go down the list of top female fitness models you will notice two things. Some of them are more into the fitness aspect. And others are more into the modeling aspect of the job. But all are popular. Fitness models managed to turn their passion into a lucrative career. Some of them earn thousands of dollars per sponsored post.

Let’s go.

What’s up, ladies!? -Thank you for all you messages and posts showing your progress with my workout plans. You are soooo amazing!! Happy I can be a part of your healthy life style. ❤️🙏🏻❤️ To all of you reading this: -I am here to help you, and I gladly do it🙋🏼‍♀️ But if you´re still looking for that one person that will change you life, then take a look in the mirror. THAT’S your real challenge. It’s not the weight scale, since that can be misleading due to muscle weighs much more than fat. It’s… what you see in the mirror. And to like what you see, mindset is key. How many times have you said “I wish”? Quite a few times, right?🤷🏼‍♀️ Well, wishing won’t change anything. You have to actually start doing. Most of the times, the most difficult step is the first one. When you have taken that first step, I am here to constantly kick your butt to keep you going and going until your goals are reached, or even exceeded. 🥁🍾💪🏻 With that being said: -I am hereby officially your personal butt kicker. 🦵🏻🍑 And I’m proud of it.

A warning to those using youtube and IG as a resource for fitness…⁣ ⁣ As I sit here and plan out the content that I will film and release on youtube for y’all this week, I am faced with somewhat of an internal conflict. ⁣ ⁣ The conflict involves knowing that new content inspires motivation to exercise and move (which is great) but on the flip side, this never ending flow of new content also encourages you to potentially switch from workout to workout without any structured consistency. ⁣ ⁣ I know that not everyone can afford workout programmes, but if you are going to use a free resource like Youtube (or instagram) as your weekly workout supply, it’s important not to fall victim to the temptation of choice (lol, sounds like I’m about to segue into a discussion on datings apps and their troublesome impact on long-term relationships and true intimacy – I guess it applies to both – anyway I’m totally digressing here, let’s get back to the point).⁣ ⁣ Exercise, or more specifically ‘results’, are best achieved through some sort of consistency and repetition (with that repetition getting harder over time – aka. Progressive Overload). ⁣ ⁣ Just like Tinder, with Youtube and Instagram you have a HUGE array of choice. This can be problematic because it makes it difficult to COMMIT to something, and it’s that commitment that yields the benefits. ⁣ ⁣ Choose videos that fit your goals and aspirations (not just aesthetically, but from a skill based perspective) and stick to them for at least a month. Monitor your progress according to how well you’re performing the exercises. Can you do more reps? Are you able to get into the positions more easily? Do you find yourself needing less rest? ⁣ ⁣ I’m always going to encourage that you follow a programme because a good one will have considered protocols, like progressive overload and specificity (check the link in my bio) BUT, if that’s out of your means right now, at the very least, try to cultivate consistency with the tips I’ve mentioned above. ⁣ ⁣ Also VERTUE CREW – Im going to do those Live Q&A’s this week on the Vertue Crew Facebook page. Lastly: Kettle Breasticles T’s and Jumper hopefully available end of April/early May.

Anllela Sagra

This Colombian fitness model began working in fashion design and modeling. In the beginning, she preferred a skinny body image, not a muscular build. But one day, she met a personal trainer that changed her outlook on fitness and life.

Sagra showed interest in fitness and adopted new training styles. If you enjoy weight-training, she is your girl. Anllela is one of the girls that changed the perception and the world of fitness modeling.

Here is a video I filmed before becoming pregnant last year with Exercise Physiologist @jono.freeman. We go through some tests & exercises to do to help achieve maximal activation of the glutes when training. This might help people who are “quad dominant” and have trouble feeling their glutes firing in movements like the squat, glute bridge, hip thrust, lunge, deadlift, steps ups. These tests & exercises helped me HEAPS to not only activate my glutes properly but to grow & strengthen them. . #gluteactivation #gluterecruitment #glutestrengthening #glutebuilding #emilyskye #jonofreeman
