Ever wonder who is behind your favorite Huron County Canadian brewery? Cowbell Brewing Co has created a welcoming, socially responsible atmosphere since its beginning in 2017. But it didn’t accomplish this on its own. So who exactly are the faces behind the success?

Let’s meet the people behind Canada’s premier brewing company and event venue.

Randy Powell – Partner/President/CEO

Randy Powell joined the Cowbell leadership team in 2020 and brought with him a wealth of knowledge in the consumer-packed goods and hospitality industries. Powell has successfully led some of Canada’s most well-known top Financial Post fortune 500 companies and has earned Canada’s prestigious Top 40 Under 40 award.

Ask Powell’s friends and co-workers what he’s most known for and they’ll say passion and innovation. Ask Powell about his favorite Cowbell brew while sharing a meat lover’s pizza and he’ll tell you Smooth Sailing.

Natasha Fritzley – COO

Natasha Fritzley has been with Cowbell Brewing Co since the very beginning and has played an important role in all aspects of the company. Most notably, Fritzley has held leadership roles in business development and operations within Cowbell. With her extensive background in marketing and economics, Fritzley has helped Cowbell grow into the success it’s become today.

Fritzley is directly responsible for restaurant and hospitality, e-commerce, and direct-to-consumer sales and is also the chairperson for Cowbell’s Diversity and Inclusion committee. Her favorite Cowbell cider is Original Apple and if you challenge her to beat you at a round of air hockey, she’ll say “Absolutely, I can.”

Jonathan Dubyk – VP of Finance and Information Systems

Jonathan Dubyk is the newest member of the Cowbell leadership team but holds 15 years of experience in various senior financial and consulting roles. Dubyk’s experience spans a variety of industries, but the most beneficial to his current role have been within the beverage alcohol industry where he became an expert in all things beer, spirit, and wines.

Dubyk’s ideal setting would be watching Seinfeld while enjoying a Cowbell Smooth Sailing on the Cowbell Brewery patio.

Chris Van Wieren – Director of Operations

You can thank Chris Van Wieren for the efficiency and effectiveness of operations at Cowbell Brewing Co. Van Wieren was an integral part of the brewery’s construction and continues to be a major voice in product innovation while leading Cowbell’s brewers, lab technicians, and maintenance staff.

When Van Wieren isn’t aiding innovation or managing the behind-the-scenes operations at the brewery, he’s probably out ice fishing.

Tyeler Walker – Director of Sales

After joining the Cowbell team in 2018, Tyeler Walker has taken on the responsibility of all retail and brewery sales. Walker carried ten years of experience in developing high-performing sales teams and business growth with him when he started at Cowbell. In fact, Walker is an important part of why Cowbell Brewing Co won the LCBO Supplier of the Year award.

Walker likes to watch the game while enjoying a Hazy Days brew at Cowbell Brewery. He’s also the father to two daughters and will recommend the Peach Cosmo hard seltzer to anyone who asks.
