He is mostly known for his role as Dwight Schrute in the NBC sitcom The Office, a role he had from 2005 to 2013. For that role, he earned three consecutive Emmy Award nominations.
Born in Seattle to parents Shay Cooper, a yoga teacher and actress, and Robert G Wilson, a novelist and business consultant. His father wrote the science fiction novel Tentacles of Dawn. He is of Dutch, Norwegian, English, and Swedish ancestry.
